What's on my plate...

I've been busy... really busy.
With my day-job work, baby and Muahaahaa...

Working my butt off... but for good reasons. I'll share more about them all in due time... However, here's 2 things that I would like to mention.

First up...

I'm so excited! I'd been invited by Chief Elf Jessie of Glücklich to be her first guest artist to draw on her canvas shoes! I had a really good time designing my own shoe... however it wasn't without lots of persuasion from Jess to pen it straight onto the canvas (what happens if I made a mistake?? it'll be such a shame... :) haha) Here's what i've come up so far with my first pair ( its not totally completed yet)... I've got one more to go... Another design to think of... :)

Some of you might find her work familiar, Chief Elf Jess was previously from ivampshoes, till she resettled herself here in Sydney! With a new life and all things good ahead lined up for her... She'll soon be ready to burst out there with her new collections under the name Glücklich...

Now that brings us to what I'm about to tell you next...

Muahaahaa will be going to the Markets! Glebe Markets that is... I've got some good stuff that I've brought back from my travels and will be putting them up there. This will happen in conjunction with something BIG... an achievement for me that is... but like I said... will be revealed soon. Also, I've invited Glücklich to be there with me at the stall to share her lovelies with all of you. So please shower us with your love & support by being there!!! I'll be bringing along food and drinks... so rock up and surprise us and have a good time!

Details:
17th April 2010
9am till 4pm

Hilarious!

Audi Fashion Festival 2010...

Audi Fashion Festival is the next big event in Singapore... happening between the 28th April to 2nd May, With Big names like Roberto Cavalli and supermodels traveling into the Cosmo city for this festival... it's gonna be an exciting week!

One of the brand names that I'm looking forward to would be Marchesa. I would so love to be there to drown in the awesomeness of their designs! (Someone pleassee get me there!) Samsung is the official presenter of the Marchesa show... Dedication to technology & design??

I guess now... Fashion ain't just all 'bout clothes, shoes and accessories. It's gone all the way into your handbag... look deeper... your communication box - your Mobile phone. From being the brick-like chuncky handphone to the sleek, shiny mobile.. alot has changed. Samsung initiated collaboration with local designers Ben Wu and Desmond Yang to create pieces that would complement Technology. In conjunction with Audi FashFest, they are promoting their new smartphone, Samsung Wave. Being an avid supporter of creativity myself, it's always nice to see group collaborations or support to allow growth in arts and design. Why not?!

I've never been a Samsung mobile user before... but HeLLo!... a phone that hangs off at the end of your necklace... I'll say : Woot! I'll have it!

For their dedication to Design + Technology, I'll give Samsung 2 thumbs up!

When Fashion meets Technology...
Ooo... someone get me that necklace piece!

Just for Drools...

Having Tea in The Yellow Submarine...

Yes... Having Tea actually from a Yellow Submarine... but a submerging Yellow Submarine Tea inffuser...
How cute and ingenious is that!

One of the great stuff from Monkey Business.

Home Sydney Home...

To Me-self: a Warm Welcome Back!
(maybe I am fitting in better and more at home is Aus)
To all : Been missing for awhile... but not lost :)

We had a good time in ever-changing Singapore. A lot... and I really mean A LOT has changed especially down town Orchard Road! Buildings pulled down and New ones seem to grow so quickly from out of the ground. Sometimes it does feel that one can't really seem to keep up with this vibrant city. Guess that's what I love 'bout this city...

Another change I've noticed... which REALLY annoys me! My waist size has gone up! I haven't really gone up a size... not quite there... but I seem to be in between sizes! Argh! What can be any worse than that? Clothes in Far East Plaza are basically a 'No go Zone'... seeing that only people like my sister who are paper-thin gets to wear the range. (sense some form of Jealousy, people??) But to justify the increment in my waist... NIKITA... so I guess all is good then.

Little Nikita spent her first Chinese New Year... meeting family and new cousins! Of course not forgetting the highlight of CNY! Ang Paos ... (Yes... we, her parents did breakeven...maybe even making a little bit more in receiving Red Packets on behalf of her! Thanks to her Popo... hehehe) Food was superbly yummylious... who can ever complain about that in Singapore. Cheap and good! That's all that matters. And of course, easily available. Anyway... here's a pic of us celebrating our first Chinese New Year together.
(To keep Mr M's identity a secret... I've put on a mask... )
